I was born on May 28, 1981.  I grew up in the small community of Comfort Cove in Central Newfoundland and spent my time there playing hockey and attending school in Lewisporte.

After High School I moved to St.John's enrolled in the Computer Support Specialist program at the College of the Northatlantic. I completed the course in 2001 and soon after found that there weren't many jobs in the IT industry in Newfoundland at the time. I was faced with the tough decision that many Newfoundlanders are faced with, I had to make up my mind to do something else or move out of Newfoundland to find work. I knew I didn't want to leave and decided to try something else, so I decided to try photography. I always enjoyed photography and thought that I had a good eye for nice photos. I moved back to Central Newfoundland and worked on my starting my own small business doing digital photography, graphics and web sites. I had no background in photography and have never actually taken any kind of photography course or had any kind of training. Everything I know is self taught and learned through trial and error.

Today I still run my business but have since moved back in St.John's and was lucky enough to get a job with a large IT company. My photography has taken a back seat as of late but I still am working on building my portfolio and updating my web site when I get the time.
